I am not an expert, just another musician/1st time user of ProTools Free but I will venture a guess at what I think your question might be. 1. AudioSuite plugins do not work in real time. You can't hear the effect until after the file has been processed. ProTools Free comes with RTAS plugins which are real time effects that use your CPU.

I never had a problem with Audiosuite until now. I don't know what happened. I haven't changed a thing. I'll highlight an audio file. Then I'll pick , lets say anything in Audioauite, it gets processed but it doesn't process the audio file. it sounds the same, looks the same and when I go to the top of the page and look under edit it says undo whatever Audiosuite plugin I used.

I'm using MC 6.0.1 with Lion 10.7.2 and for some reason my AudioSuite plugins aren't rendering. They play during "preview" but the effect doesn't 'stick' when I play back from the timeline.
