AudioQuest has developed many new and interesting cable technologies since Amazon (see sidebar). Judging from Wind’s performance, those efforts have gone a long way toward making an interconnect that seemingly vanishes from the system. Wind is a great interconnect by any measure and, though not inexpensive, is nonetheless a superb value.

IMHO, they are fantastic cables. Audioquest has successfully produced another quality product and they certainly did not disappoint. The Earths definitely performed better than the Colorados and are intended to replace them in their product lineup as their highest quality copper interconnect. Compared to the Colorado's they are much quieter.

AudioQuest Jaguar Speaker Cables user reviews : 4.7 out of ...

The Audioquest cables aren't "brighter"- the upper range sounds great, with good warmth. They're just a bit less "cluttered". Differences between cables are pretty subtle. Switching between cables, I find that cables don't change the basic charactor of a system, they change subtle elements.

REVIEW: AudioQuest Columbia Cable - readargos - Cable Asylum

    https://www.audioasylum.com/messages/cables/167154/review-audioquest-columbia-cable
From the start, the cables were very open and clear. Bass was neither full nor thin, but tight, well-defined, and nicely rounded. However, moving up in frequency, the sound became thinner, drier, and flatter. This was particularly unflattering to late-50s to mid-60s violin tone. As well, the treble was sweet, but too soft, feathery and diffuse.

I wanted to go back to the warm sound I used to get with the Big Sur. After reading reviews online and inquiring to Audioquest what’s the best option given the sound signature I was looking for, I decided to get the Mackenzie’s, the Big Sur’s bigger brother as described on the Youtube above. I like them so far.
