I have been using audioquest CV-8 on a small system in my study and more expensive Audioquest "Gibraltar" on a higher-endsystem in a large room (Thiel/shunyata/McCormack). Just out of curiosity some weeks ago, I switched them around. The CV-8 in the bigger system absolutely blew me away! Not subtly better. Not a nuance of s difference.

Hence in comparison, the AQ CV-8 sounded more open, spacious, more extended and transparent high and more dynamic/thumping bass. I saw the smile on the dealer face (idiot!! ), I'm taking Straley cable back and try to break it in for a few more days, then I will borrow the AQ CV-8 back to compare it in my system. 04-23-2018 2:17pm AQ CV-8 if I recall correctly is one of the lower end on the AQ spectrum. I haven't used CV-8, but have used Rockefeller, which is a couple of notches up the ladder, but somewhat long in the tooth. I find it to be very nice with my Vandy Treo's.

This is a review of Audioquest CV4 2.5M (8') with 48V DBS. Prior to using these cables, I had DH Labs Q10 as well as Belkin PureAv PCOCC cable. The CV4 DBS cables are of star quad design, which provides low inductance without spiking the capacitance. The conductors are solid core, said to provide smoother, more natural sound.
