If you like rap tune to 36hz. The sub has multiple spiders and will play considerably below box tuning. If you tune too low you lose upper bass extension and don't gain any more low end. 36hz will hammer the lows. The same tuning works well with the HDC series. Use 14-16 sq" of port opening area per net cubic foot of box volume

everyone worth their salt knows that the enclosure plays just as important of a role as the sub. so if you take a focal 10 and shove it in a crap box you get crap out of it. ive built boxes for friends using some pretty junky subs and they still sound better than most 'home theater in a box' surround sound set ups.
