DJ recomends a 38-40hz tune for these subs which isn't too far on the side of sq. As for a great sql/spl woofer these are great. A friend did 146.x with 1 12" and 700wrms. As for the new China made sdc2.5s im not familiar with thier purpose. Maybe they changed th direction of the sd2.5 line. For the price these are great tough subs.

I've had two. Only ran one at a time. The first one I blew within two weeks because I didn't know what clipping was, and it took a fully clipped signal for about 20 minutes before it started to smoke, I backed off and it last about another month, but you could hear the coil rubbing, so I gave it hell on 10 hz and it stopped after about 5 minutes on 10 hz full tilt.

The SDC2.515 will do fine on 500 watts. The 15 likes 3.0-4.5 net cubes with 4.0 being ideal. Tune 36-38hz for daily and 40-45 for spl. If you like rap tune to 36hz. The sub has multiple spiders and will play considerably below box tuning. If you tune too low you lose upper bass extension and don't gain any more low end. 36hz will hammer the lows.

The Audioque uses slightly softer spiders and has 6 of them the DD uses 4-5 spiders that are stiffer in compound. Also the motor is different. The Audioque has a much more simple motor than the DD 9500. The Audioque motor won't work with voice coils lower than dual 1.5 ohms, while the DD motor will work with coils as low as dual 0.5's.
