    https://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/audiolab/8000.html
The audiolab 8000Q preamp and 8000M monos combo is characterized by: Timeless cosmetic elegance. Workmanship is typical for the genre. The Brits usually leave material excess to others – and sloppiness as well. I have seen better speaker binding posts though.

Audiolab replaced it with a brand new unit which I was happy about. Anyway, the new unit worked fine to begin with but ran extremely hot (I'm talking electric heater hot). After a few months of use, the unit started to produce a very loud crackle though the right channel every 10 mins or so. It was sent back to the factory once again.

As the title suggests I have a little problem choosing between Audiolab 8000P and Audiolab 8000M x 2. I currently have H/K AVR 255 driving a pair of Wharfedale Diamond 8.4's. Lab Report Some brands are more conservative than others when it comes to specifying power output (and speaker sensitivity!) but Audiolab is flying quite close to the wire with its 50W/75W 8/4ohm rating for the 6000A.
