Audioengine A5+ Wireless Review: HeadPhone.Guru

The Audioengine A5+ Wireless Speakers is a multi-faceted speaker with as many faces as it has inputs. It was designed to handle close to any task and physical environment you place it in. It doesn’t fulfill every aspect of what it sets out to do but does a damn good job with enough of them that I am still impressed a month later.

I had the original A5’s for over 8 years. I’ve recently upgraded to Adam T7V’s because my A5’s died. So here’s the thing, A5’s are good speakers. But they cost 400 bucks. And compared to the Adams, which cost the same, they sound like they should cost 200 at most. At 150 bucks the Audioengines would be an amazing product.

In addition, the A5’s large circular ports have been replaced by narrow slotted ports, said to provide a smoother, cleaner low end. (Who doesn't want that?)
