When I record with my My audiobox USB 96 on my MacBook with phantom power xlr, the signal is very noisy and low. As I turn the signal knob up it suddenly jumps up into the red when the knob reaches around 8 or 9. I saw one fix for a similar problem that suggested using a USB hub to supplement the 48 v. The hiss goes away as soon as I: - Disconnect the microphone. - Turn off the phantom power. It's not a recording nor line noise, as this hiss isn't in my recordings, but it's pretty annoying to have that constant noise while trying to record something.
