Another example, I checked out Stephen King's Revival from the library. Each chapter was a separate file. In iTunes, they showed and played in chapter order. The Track Number and count tell iTunes what order the files should be in. Now I know that I can sort the files by name and play them in that order, but I listen to my books on my iPod touch and once you sync, the order is out the door and only the track count matters.
