Show this post. I would call the LP 60 a poor or low level turntable. There are worse, but not many. The LP 120 is a little better but not a copy of the SL 1200. The LP 1240 is a copy of the SL 1200 and at $300 all day long, reasonable and will do a good job and be kind to your vinyl.

The styli on the LP60-type 'tables are notoriously poor in terms of sound quality and tracking force that you're putting on the records; they're also not that great in the area of upgradability.
