Audio Technica ATM25 Review The microphone has a superb double-bass capability, which is especially suited for live performances. It provides a significant amount of gain before suffering from any feedback problems. Whether you are using kick drum, trombone, or any other loud and low bass instrument, the bass cabs are fantastic.

It has shallow dip in the mids that cleans up the tom's and has a really even tight bass response that is perfect for toms and makes a very malleable sound to change during mixing. Used on the kick drum it really pick's up the articulation of the beater very naturally.

Im going to give you my opinion of the Audio Technica ATM 25. From what I understand its designed to be a kick drum mic. When I bought it that's what I planned on using it as. It works great. I've used it as the only mic on the kick and it sounded pretty good. I had to do quite a bit of eq'ing to make it come through in the mix.

The Audio-Technica ATR25 is a stereo recording microphone, designed for audio recording for film and otherwise. I've only had the chance to use this microphone one time and it wasn't for film recording, which is really it's main purpose. The mic is a condenser microphone, and it's no longer being made by Audio-Technica.
