This mic is not to be confused with the Audio-Technica Pro 25, which looks similar but is definitely a different mic on the inside, as this one sounds a lot better. It's got a hyper cardioid polar pick up pattern, making it great for recording things up …

Audio Technica ATM25 Review The microphone has a superb double-bass capability, which is especially suited for live performances. It provides a significant amount of gain before suffering from any feedback problems. Whether you are using kick drum, trombone, or any other loud and low bass instrument, the bass cabs are fantastic.

The mic is really solid and has a nice built in mic holder. AT don't supply a max SPL value which seems unusual but i'm guessing it's up at the 130 mark. This mic has much more natural sound than a lot of other budget mics or mic's around the £120 mark.

The mic is a condenser microphone, and it's no longer being made by Audio-Technica. It's got a dual cardioid polar pick up pattern and comes with a special stereo cable, a clip, and a wind screen. It also has a frequency response ranging from 70 Hz to 18 kHz. OVERALL OPINION The best part of the Audio-Technica ATR25 is no doubt the cheap price!

audio-technica pro 25 kick mic I picked up one of these for nothing from a friend who no longer uses it. It's pretty battered and bruised and needs a new screw/nut so it will stay where i want it to. Has anyone used one of these? There's not much info about it on the web as it's clearly been discontinued.
