Audio–Technica AT4060A - Sound on Sound

    https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/audio-technica-at4060a
Audio–Technica’s new AT4060A looks much like the earlier AT4060, which I reviewed almost exactly 16 years ago (you can find that original review on the www.soundonsound.com web site). As much as I say the U87 is over rated, Id take it in a heartbeat over the AT4060. The U87 is a professional mic. The AT4060 is strictly prosumer. They hold the freaking capsule in place with hot melt glue. HELLO! HOT MELT GLUE! I also think the sound is fairly lousy, and completely collapses under heavy compression.
