So far everything has been setup and working quite nicely. I am using View 4.6 and hosting my Win 7 x64 VM's on a Vsphere environment with ESX 4.0 hosts. I can log into my VM's using the view client via a View Administror Server. Once logged in, sound works fine, I can open mp3's or youtube and sound works in general.

Yes, maybe VMWare Server is a bit outdated, but if someone does not have the right hardware or a dedicated machine, they can setup VMWare server and play around with it to at least get a taste of virtualization in order to be ready to really dive in with ESXi later down the road.
