The VT100 mk3 is not a bad amp. I owned a mk3 for a few years. I never had any problems with it other then a tube blew a resistor once, not a big deal. I bought it used from my ARC dealer because I needed to send my V70 back to ARC. My plan was to probably keep the VT100 and sell the V70. I never could and I ended up keeping both amps.

an Audiophile. This has to be one of the most amazing amplifers. ARC keeps making amps that sound better and cost less. I have heard VT-150's and Premiers 8 specials and the VT100 is a sonic equal at a fraction of the price. If you are not feeding a power hungry system, there is none better than the VT 100.

With that said I wish I could have that listening time back using the ARC VT 100 mkII. The Bryston did a fine job and it had the ability to fill the room with sound. From dropping down to 100 watts per channel from 250 watts that the Bryston offered has not been a problem. The sound now is very smooth and makes my speakers disappear.

Salem, VA - United States of America I heard a VT100 some years ago. It did sound very nice. Getting sort of long in the tooth now though and they can be expensive to repair. Also you might as well add the cost of a new tube set to the cost of the amp as you'll likely need that. I have owned a lot of ARC gear.
