This pre-amp is the updated LS-25 Mk 2. Having gone thru every type of nos tube substitute for the 6922 I decided to upgrade to the 6H30 tube. The Ls-25 mk 2 preserves all the goodness of NOS Amperex and Siemens tubes in a more consistent product. The biggest improvement with the mk 2 is in the rich harmonics and clearly defined bass lines.

The output source impedance of a LS-25 is around 600 Ohms, and it's not going to like being loaded down by the headphones at all. (It will not cause damage though). I don't know what the current flowing in the output followers is, but I think it's likely to be low because it's designed to feed a 20 K Ohm amp input, so it isn't likely to be great driving headphones.
