· The Audio Research D-52B is by no means a perfect amplifier, but it is much better than I expected. Since this is a relatively ancient design, I'm also willing to cut it a little slack. With only 50Ws of power, it's really not up to the task of driving inefficient speakers unless you have a small room or prefer lower listening levels.
