The 88SX has 7 great voices, is lightweight, easy to use and well worth the price. However, it does not have keyboard splitting functionality, 14 voices, sound layering capabilities or some of the other features mentioned in the description on line. I suspect that someone combined the descriptions of the two differnet models.

The Prokeys 88SX was also used at the July 14, 2007 gig. Mine was recently stolen and I just bought another. Light as a feather, great price. The Wurly sample is worthy of doing some Supertramp tunes. Rhodes is good and the two acoustic pianos are plenty fine for live work. Both are excellent piano, but for different people. You can buy both, m-audio ProKeys 88 and ProKeys 88sx in Amazon, and if you look at the prices, you can tell the difference: ProKeys 88 costs $300 more than ProKey 88sx. Both are great Piano, with excellent sounds, both have the quality and durability that m-audio always offer.

The Prokeys 88SX was also used at the July 14, 2007 gig. You should be able to hear the acoustic piano, electric piano (both Rhodes and Wurly) and especially the B3 organ. Quality It tends to feel so light that you mistrust its quality, however, my first one (lasted 2 months before it was stolen) seemed rugged enough.

All in all, the Prokeys 88SX makes a fantastic first-time home/stage piano. Personally, I'll always want the extra sounds of the larger Prokeys, plus its ability to combine and control them quickly. That's worth the additional £110 to me, but if you just want piano sounds and basic MIDI control, the 88SX has no rivals at this price point.
