I'm not a huge fan of bass, but appreciate it when necessary, and the Audio Physics deliver plenty of bass for my musical tastes. With decent equipment (B&K ST …

Sunnyjim, i own Revel F30's, S30 surrounds and the C30 center channel in my HT room. i have one friend with Audio Physic Avanti III's and another with Virgo III's. i have been in both friend's rooms numerous times. so i have a pretty good idea of the 'sound' of the Revel Performa compared to the Audio Physic.

Speaking about their physical presence, Tempo's III series are two one-meter-tall boxes, with a backward tilt of about 10 degrees (7, to be precise), made by German brand Audio Physic. Its "ring radiator technology," claims Audio Physic, "results in superb midrange dynamics and excellent high frequency resolution."

The Tempo 3i was I believe the last of the series with exclusively front-firing drivers, and was designed by Joachim Gerhard, the founder of Audio Physic who left the company around 2004. Two of the most enjoyable aspects of the speakers are (1) an uncanny ability to “disappear” within an extremely wide yet precisely imaged soundstage, and ...

Audio Physic Tempo (£2600) Like Audio Physic’s Sitara model recently reviewed in these pages [see HFN June ’09], the latest incarnation of the Audio Physic Tempo – the sixth, no less – catches the eye by being notably slim, deep and tilted back at 7º to provide time alignment of its small midrange driver and soft-dome tweeter.
