    Mc v5 introduced blended Stereo audio tracks and you can't patch a mono channel audio to a Stereo track and vice versa. Definately check that. When creating/inserting new audio tracks, be sure and select "New Audio Track Mono" and you should be good to go. This was a source of some trouble until I figured it out. Good luck,
