The P1 is dense and compact and seems exceptionally well built. The front panel has what, for all intent and purposes, looks like a volume control but which simply turns the amp on and off. The review unit was black except for the back panel insert to which the connectors are mounted which is a solid piece of walnut about 1/8’ thick.

This is essentially the same combination found in the Audio Note Soro integrated amp. I haven't compared the M1 to the M2, but the M2 is reputed to have a more refined sound.
