To be honest, I was shopping for a good dac for a while, look under smoothes dac in my longtimeago discussion! After talking to people who own AN Dac s and talking to retails and other user in the forum and in person and also Audio Note UK. I bought 2 dac s the 1.1 and the DAC 3.1 Balance! Well to be honest, I did not like both of them!

TNT : Audio Note DAC Kit 1.1 Listening Test

    https://www.tnt-audio.com/sorgenti/audionote11kit_e.html
The DAC Kit 1.1 suddenly matched the MP-DAC in soundscape largesse, and although overall impact was slightly lessened, the Audio Note component better brought out the rhythms due to a more agile handling of the complex percussion in the first track, and to lightning-quick responses in the higher frequencies.

Audio Note DAC kits — Polk Audio Forum

Does anyone have any experience with Audio Note Kits? I have been looking at the 1.1 and 2.1 DAC kits but can't find many reviews. I'm running a benchmark DAC2 HGC with a Aurender N100h currently. I have been thinking about trying something completely different DAC wise for some time. I've been looking at MHDT, Border Patrol and Lampizator DACs.

DAC1.1x | Audio Note (UK)

In other words, the Audio Note (UK) DAC1.1x has no over sampling, no jitter reduction, no noise shaping and no re-clocking. Having removed all of the digital filtering that is required for over sampling, all filtering is done in the analogue domain where it is easier to retain good, wide band phase-frequency and dynamically coherent behaviour.

Audio Note UK DAC 0.1x Review - Dagogo

    https://www.dagogo.com/audio-note-uk-dac-0-1x-review/
The Audio Note UK DAC 0.1x is part of Audio Note UK’s entry level zero system. At first glance, the DAC 0.1x can seem to be a tough sell in a 2018 marketplace with far more modern DA converters competitively priced, most of them having half a dozen inputs and outputs and impressive techno babble about their processing power and feature sets.

Audio Note UK DAC 2.1x Signature Review - Part-Time Audiophile

    https://parttimeaudiophile.com/2018/07/07/beguiling-digital-audio-note-uk-dac-2-1x-signature/
Unexpected Pleasures. I wanted to share a few notes about the Audio Note UK () DAC 2.1x Signature that Mr. Q sent along with the CDT-Two/II transport that I so greatly admired.. The US price for the DAC2.1x Signature is $4,900. Like the transport, this DAC sits about mid-way through their “levels” of digital converter products.

Audio Note DAC 5 - Audiogon Discussion Forum

    https://forum.audiogon.com/discussions/audio-note-dac-5
It is a fantastic DAC. All three were hooked up to the 47 labs transport -- crazy, noisy, unreliable, but, I suppose, pretty good sounding -- but apparently pretty good sounding because the combination is magical -- very relaxed, organic sounding without sounding muffled of flacid or dynamically constricted.

DAC 1.1x 6×4 with USB – ANK Audio Kits

    https://ankaudiokits.com/product/dac-1-1-x/
Ones and zeroes go into the DAC 1.1. Pure, natural, effortless music flows out of it. What’s great is that the incredible sonics are matched by the incredible parts quality. In comparison to the high volume manufacturers, there really is no comparison. This DAC has far better component quality than any of the previously mentioned mainstream DAC’s.

audio note - Positive Feedback

    https://positive-feedback.com/Issue2/andac.htm
Audio Note DAC 1.1 is a marvelous, amazing, delightful piece of gear. In combination with my state-of-the-art (har, har, har) Pioneer DV525, the 1.1 reminds me very much of the dear, recently departed (from my listening room) 47 Labs player. At $1500 versus The two have simplicity of design in common, and both are a joy to listen to.
