The specs are pretty good, and it has the sometimes useful feature of going high-impedance on the inputs when unpowered. The dual 4:1 version would be more useful, the ADG509F, since one chip is all you need for a stereo four-input switch. Maxim's versions are the MAX4708 and MAX4709, if those are more available.

The device can take any one of four audio inputs, pass the signal through an amplifier, and send it to any one of four outputs. The audio amplifier has a volume control, and the inputs and outputs...

DIY Homemade Sensor Multiplexer - RMCybernetics

    https://www.rmcybernetics.com/science/diy-devices/diy-sensor-multiplexer
DIY Sensor Multiplexer This device was created to allow more analogue sensors to be added to a homemade robot. It is simply a 8 port switcher for analogue or digital signals. The device is controlled by a PIC 12F675 microcontroler, and gives eight analogue outputs from one analogue input, and one digital input.

Audio MUX IC | All About Circuits

The most common analog mux (there are a lot) I could find was a 4051. However since this will only be used for audio signals I was hoping that somebody could point me to an analog mux that is optimised for audio signals. Cost is not a factor as this project would most likely be built once. Thanks.
