For what it's worth, and for the record, I've just installed the SB sound drivers to my VM running Windows 98 SE in VMware Player. The driver set that works has filename SBPCTAudioSetup_W9x.ZIP and comprised of SPCTAUDIOSetupus.exe & SPCTW9X.LIB (date 11/02/2001). Audio had been the only thing I missed in this VM, and now it works a treat.
