I might recommend sending the data through OSC, which is supported natively by Resolume, and Ableton (kinda wishes it was), if Ableton proves too unwieldy (it's really only friendly if you're using M4L and forcing it into submission), using OSCulator on the Ableton computer to translate the data to/from MIDI might be easier.
