    It definitely looks like a problem with Core MIDI. Try a new user account to see if the problem persists. If it does, then the problem lies at the system level. If it doesn't, then the problem lies somewhere in your old user account. You could try creating a new setup in Audio/MIDI Setup, without any of the hardware.
