The tube CD player had much sweeter fuller sound. The M-Audio was really unlistenable to my ears--lots of sibilance and harsh tones. None of the beauty that comes through on the tube CD player. Next up was to use the spdif output from the M-Audio 410 to a Bel Canto DAC2. This was getting closer. Definitely a step up from the analog 410 outputs.
