1 Answer1. Show activity on this post. I found that Sound Juicer which tries to use MusicBrainz is busted, at least as of 13.10. I don't know how to modify it to use freedb.org. However, there is a similar program called Asunder which uses CDDB: Asunder also has nice configuration options for encoding to OGG, MP3, FLAC and even AAC.

Sound Juicer itself no longer has a menu based method to adjust mp3 (ripping) encoding quality, but there's got to be a settings file that I can edit with a text editor. I think Sound Juicer uses MusicBrainz for CDDB lookup, but encodes at a disgustingly low bit rate. Any advice on where this is located? THANK YOU in advance! Clinton
