    The audio used in that example clip is from the YouTube Audio Library and is an mp3 file. It sounded fine in FCP, this popping appeared after exporting as a Master File with Computer Format, H.264 Better Quality, 1920 x 1080 Res, 48 kHz Stereo, & Quicktime Movie AAC Audio File Format(the root of the problem).

    I'm pretty sure all of this sound corruption is coming from the audio sampling method fcpx uses, which mostly like is making the remuxed audio to 23.97 fps and the video in 24 fps (original). I believe this is causing both audio popping and desync issue present in the program and the exported video.

    Popping clicking is a sampling rate error. Make sure the source audio matches the project audio settings and anything MP3 or lower should be converted to AIF before importing into FCPX.
