Extracting audio files from a .dat file | AVForums

The dat file contains multiple audio files in Ogg Vorbis format. However, I have discovered that later releases of the file are encrypted, which explains why I could not extract the audio. Nova Extractor has been recommended, so I'll experiment with that and see what sort of results I get. Thanks for your input. XOD. M Member 55145

Any way to extract audio from DAT Files? - SysOpt

I found a way to save tracks off some karaoke VCD once by renaming the *.dat file as a *.avi instead. Maybe you could just try copying the dat files onto your hard disc then changing the file extension to *.wav or maybe *.mp3. Its a long shot, but it might work. 07-24-2013, 02:01 PM #7. Cameron007.
