Joined: Oct 2013. After the switch from 3.5 to 4.0 my audio is a bit choppy. I am using HLE settings. The games I have tested out are Kirby, lost in shadow, mario kart. Lost in shadow and mario kart was a bit choppy played about a 5 mins into the game, they were choppy. Kirby seemed to be unaffected. My FPS was at 60, so gameplay itself is fine.

Make sure VBeam Speed Hack is an empty box so it's disabled. Enabling it will screw with the audio. If you're still getting issues, try downloading the Dolphin team's DSP LLE engine. Find the folder where you installed Dolphin, and put these two .BIN files in Sys/GC. Once they're in place, set Dolphin's DSP engine to LLE.

3.5-78 and 3.5-1154 corrected most of the problems in the AX ucode, the most common audio microcode on the GameCube and Wii. 4.0-7286 and New-Zelda-HLE rewrote the Zelda ucode, improving it for the remaining games. Currently DSP HLE will have perfect sound in most games. However, some issues may remain, and all sound issues need to be confirmed with LLE.
