    DVD-V only supports 96/24 in stereo; the only way it supports 5.1 is through DTS and Dolby Digital, so there wouldn't be a point in ripping multichannel DVD-Audio. Your car player can only play the DVD-V compatible stuff anyway and re-encoding it wouldn't give you anything that the DVD-V part isn't already giving you.
