    I am guessing the problem with the Windows Audio Endpoint Builder is that you have disabled the Windows power management on Windows 7. For some reason, the audio services cannot start if power management is disabled. I was going to install the APC Power Management software for my UPS and it requires that Windows Power Management be disabled.
