So I mounted it in my Virtual Drive, and set the drive for Chankast so it will read the virtual drive, and told it to read GD-ROM. I get the message to set the date, so I just accept. Then it appears again.

Re: Can I run a DreamCast CD on PC. Check out the Chankast Compatibility List. You can use my utility called Chankast Launch to automatically mount images and run Chankast full screen. You cannot simply create an image from your games, they need to be "self booting".
