Windows Media Player default burning and volume leveling ...
						https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-media-player-default-burning-and-volume/5cdc9087-62da-412b-aa36-b8533c2621c3
The solution is to go to the 'burn options' tab that is available once blank media is inserted, and toggle off the "Apply volume leveling across tracks". In the long term, I feel this is worth Microsoft looking at in more detail and considering an update that would change this default setting to 'off'. It's causing more harm than good right now.

Windows Media Player volume leveling when burning a CD. I have never been able to get Windows Media Player to level the volume when I burn various .Wav files to CD. I have Windows 10, WMP 12. Yesterday I uninstalled WMP 12 and reinstalled, no help. I do have the check box for volume leveling (normalizing) in the burn options checked.
