    Going to the Output Devices tab, I find the device and click the tick to "Set as fallback". This solves the audio playback issue in most apps (including Teams).     It probably is some incompatibility between some ubuntu audio library and the one on the centos 6 system used to build the wheels. But that is not something I can resolve it seems.
