Jan 11, 2006. #7. Geoff, I am not surprised that the staff did not know about a CA 640R receiver as it is not available yet. The 640A refered to in the previous posts is an integrated stereo amplifier. The only AV receiver from Cambridge Audio at the moment is the 540R and it has a small form factor and a very good sound.

According to many word-of-mouth, the sound quality upon new arrival of machine is not that good. But after 150~200 hours, it's turrific. And the sound quality is those quality cost 2~3 times more!
