All-in-all, the Cambridge Audio Azur 640a is a complete bargain. Having also heard the Creek, which is itself a great unit, I can not justify spending the extra $300 (400 if you want a remote) simply because it is a Creek. The Cambridge holds its own against integrateds I've come across costing well over three times the 640a's $499.00 MSRP.

Cambridge Audio have really outdone themselves with the release of the Azur 640a Integrated Amp. I previously used the Denon AVR-3803 as my 2ch amp, but after taking the advice found on many forums on the Web about there relative lack of performance in this field compared to dedicated 2ch amps, I took the plunge and bought this amp.

The 640A refered to in the previous posts is an integrated stereo amplifier. The only AV receiver from Cambridge Audio at the moment is the 540R and it has a small form factor and a very good sound. Ed Selley AVF Reviewer Jan 11, 2006 #8
