The AMD HDMI Audio playback device is greyed out and so is the option to set it as default. No matter what I do (enabling/disabling, restarting, unplugging/replugging, switching outputs) nothing works. If I go into CCC it says that the display device I have connected by HDMI does not support audio, but it worked fine for my old 5670.

I can't make out the red symbol at the upper right but I'm guessing the device driver for the HDMI audio device might not be loaded correctly, go into Control Panel -> Device manager to confirm and if this is so download the current ATI Catalyst full package, that will install an audio driver for HDMI.

In Windows -> Sound -> Playback Devices "ATI HDMI Output" shows as "Not plugged in". Weird, cause I use that BenQ to see what I am writing right now. Only thing different with this re-install from my other re-installs is the CCC version. The Windows DVD and the BenQ drivers from Windows Update is the same.
