1. into the bios manual and set the front panel type-->HD audio. 2.and set SPDIF out type-->SPDIF. 3.re-start the pc and into the os system, remove all audio driver form control panel-->Add Remove Programs. 4.download the audio driver form asus website,then re-insatll the audio driver and test again.

Rampage IV Extreme Sound Problem. I just upgraded last night from my 3770k to a 3930k and a RIVE. When I plug my headphones in, all I hear is static. Onboard is enabled in the bios, and Front Panel is set to AC97 and SPDIF. My last Z77 board didn't have working sound either and I've been forced to use a USB sound card for the last year.
