    The audio is severely distorted, and the caller has to disconnect and reconnect, after which the problem is resolved for the remainder of the call. Other users are not affected at the same time. No errors logged anywhere that I can find to help explain it. I’m looking at Asterisk timing along with the other possible root causes.

    Derbyd, This is was an old thread. We did discover the problem being combination caused by high pings to the ISP and a online backup that was delayed running during business hours. When we had choppy sound, we tested the pings from the server to the ISP and noticed very high ping times (300ms and above).
