He's right, tho the english is bad -- right-click on the speaker icon, open up PLAYBACK DEVICES (not RECORDING DEVICES) and DISABLE the speakers -- then go to the ASIO4ALL panel, disable then re-enable Realtek HD Audio Output and the red x should go away, and you should be able to hear sound now. Hey guys, just to say, I am having this problem also, my laptop is vista with realtek HD audio, and on cubase sx 3 with asio4all I get no audio whatsoever. When i switch back to the normal asio multimedia driver, i get audio, but the latency is something stupid like 70ms, making recording completely impossible.

Why use ASIO4ALL if you're using the built-in sound device? Use the proper driver for the Realtek. And as far as not seeing the headphones in PT on most computers the 'phones output is the same as the built-in speakers; plugging in the cans should mute the internal speakers. So in PT select the Realtek HD audio output and you should be good to go.
