    OPTIONS>AUDIO>GENERAL>SAMPLING RATE you should generally record at 44100 or 48000 - unless you have specific need to record at a higher sampling rate. also check to make sure your m-audio fast track is set to the same sampling rate. click on the ASIO button at the bottom of that pop up window and it will bring up the m-audio mixer panel.
