Simultaneous SPDIF and Analog audio output

Both of these devices allow simultaneous analog stereo and SPDIF output. I have the 2496 card in another computer and I've confirmed that it works in Windows 7; I've read elsewhere that the Transit also works. I'm only interested in stereo right now. I'm not sure how these products would do with 7.1 audio.

It seems there is a problem with Windows 7 that it doesn't allow simultaneous analog + digital output (from the same source - only duplicated). I somehow solved it wuth the newest Realtek drivers using stereo mix to listen to analog audio output and then put it on digital out - it works but there is ome delay between sources.

View -> options -> output ->direct show audio -> select output stream..(2nd audio output or speakers) then restart the player and then it outputs the audio to the one u selected.. other applications like windows media player, vlc, power dvd, all push their streams to the default output. Hope this helped.
