Actually, I'm using a DisplayPort cable (1.2a). So far is working good. I wanted to test AMD High Definition Audio, to eliminate Realtek drivers, which could improve system stability and maybe who knows peformance, given the fact that AMD sound cannot be disabled, because is part of the graphic card.

AMD audio is through hdmi and your monitor. So realtek is the one you want to use. It is illogical to use a monitor as an audio pass through and most people have better audio devices than 2w speakers that the majority of monitors come with. If you are using TV audio then that would be the only exception.

The Realtek audio works the desktop speakers. The AMD audio works the sound out of the HDMI port. If you uninstall the AMD audio driver, it will still show up as a HD audio device in the device manager. View solution in original post.
