Amarok 2.3.2 reports zero tracks on CD • KDE Community Forums

    https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?t=91305
Am having a problem with my Amarok v2.3.2 installation under Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx. My desktop computer has only one CD drive. When I insert a CD into the machine it shows up under Local Music as "Audio CD" however, it says there are zero tracks on the disc. If I open up the CD through Ubuntu's Nautilus folder listing I see nine .wav tracks.

Currently, it works like in Amarok1.4 (Music -> Open CD). Maybe we could also add CDs in Devices tab? Also, even if it seems to work well for now, there is maybe (certainly?) some bugs to fix or some enhancements to do. If you want to test, you're welcome ;) Status: Started Author Clementine-Issue-Importer commented on Dec 6, 2013

CD removed from drive, Amarok is still open Same CD inserted again -several times until read. Unfortunately I could not identify a pattern here: in the subsequent attempts sometimes the CD loaded with 0 tracks, sometimes does not appears at all in the panel, sometimes the CD tracks appears correctly.

Grip will not encode the ripped .wavs and amarok claims it cannot read the audio cd. if i wanna encode files to something other than what i got in my abcde-config i just overwrite the config-file from the commandline, e.g.: Quote: abcde -d /dev/hda -o wav, flac or, if i just wanna ogg-files from the other device.

If your hard drive is not formatted with NTFS, then that could be a problem as well. Try selecting all but the last second of the audio and use the File | Save Selection As command to see if that works. Chris 6 posts • Page 1 of 1 Return to “GoldWave General” Jump to
