Although M50W is more than capable and very clean sounding set, Aktimate seems to do everything better. Nice thick accurate bass, clear and natural mids and the treble is abundant but not fatiguing or harsh. Aktimate makes a lot of other speakers sound like toys. I really dig the Aktimate.

The Audioengine A5+ is a highly regarded speaker from what I've read - one or two folks on this forum use them - but IMO they appear vastly overpriced. I think £300 spent on professional audio studio monitors (nearfield active studio …

I had the A4s which developed a buzz in the slave speaker which Audioengine replaced with A5+, and I am happy with them. For the price they are a quality bit of kit that produce a nice natural sound. I do usually fill out the bottom end with an 8 inch sub, but that only just today went on the fritz edit: sub is not an Audioengine S8

Epoz Aktimate Micro review | What Hi-Fi?

    https://www.whathifi.com/epoz/aktimate-micro/review
The Epoz Aktimate Micro is the company’s best offering yet. The speakers come in the form of a powered ‘master’ speaker and a passive ‘slave’. The former connects to mains power and then to its partner using standard speaker cable (supplied).
