Hi, i have had Audio space amps for long time, i currently have the pre-2 and AS-6m Monos with 300b..They are damn good equipments, reliable ,well built, sound fantastic!!, cheap to buy.. i have more joy using these than my Audio research REF3 with Ref 210 that keep blowing up!!

How much airspace is needed around an amp to dissipate heat? I have a storage bin behind my back seats and was wondering if there is enough space in it to put my amp. It will physically fit perfectly, but there is only an inch of space at the top and bottom, and 3-4 inches above. it is an enclosed space. heres pics.

The general question you ask is like asking how much gas a car needs. Different cars need different amounts, and so it is with air for amplifiers. I have a couple that run quite cool. My ODL has massive heat sinks and never gets very warm, and it does not have any air holes (so the circuitry inside never gets dust and dirt on it either).
