Audio out of sync when exporting H.264. I just discovered the following: Whenever I export a H.264 in MP4 container, the audio in the resulting file goes about 10 ms out of sync. (575 audio samples to be exact.) Green is the original clip, red is the resulting file from export. I used 25fps in export settings.

Adobe Media Encoder exports h.264 audio out of sync. Audio engineer here. I use AME to convert h264 videos from editors to pro-res so I can import them into protools (step 1). Once I'm done with the mix, I usually need to send the client an h264 for review. Protools exports the prores video file AME created along with my nice shiny new mix, and then I convert that prores to h264 …

Tried to render with Adobe media encoder; The result was always the same, audio is not in sync with the original timeline. To see if it's just a display issue, I copied the empty space in the start of audio, pasted it 100 times and it was silent. I also brought the video file to cubase and the desync was clearly there as well.

I never had hardware encoding problems at all until 14.x. My current workaround is to use software encoding on the dropdown in premier 14.5. CUDA and OpenCL give the same problem. Another workaround is to export as Apple ProRes 422 and then use ME for H.264 or H.265 with hardware encoding on and that works just fine.

You could choose to export a Quicktime, then just pick the H.264 codec for the video and "uncompressed" for the audio, and you could set it to five channels. Now if you want h.264, you have to choose that as the filetype instead of Quicktime, and you don't have an uncompressed audio option.

Known issues in Adobe Media Encoder

Audio is out of sync Issue: Audio is out of sync by several 100 samples in H.264, MPEG-2, MPEG4, when multiplexing audio and video streams. Workaround: None, except encoding into a different format with uncompressed audio such as MXF.

Quicktime not able to sync audio when pla… - Apple Community

    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252680507
All bitrates and resolutions in H.264 feature a loss of sync from Adobe AME compression as of this date, with all software current. Adobe is blaming Apple. They recommend HandBrake, yet another third party product, to transcode videos so they will perform in Big Sur. The workaround works, but is inconvenient.
