I have a Acer Revo hooked up to my LG HT905TA via HDMI. HDMI out from the Revo -> HDMI in to the LG. From the LG, I have a HDMI out to my Toshiba TV. When I boot a generic XBMC Live distro on the Acer Revo, it does not give me any options under audio output or passthrough. I used the default hdmi on both and have my hdmi going into my Samsung TV, with optical out to my receiver. My receiver (a cheap Yamaha) doesn't pass audio over hdmi, go figure!
